Remedial Massage
A very brief insight into Remedial Massage.

There are so many people suffering with neck, shoulder and back pain, and this can be the result of some physical injury, poor posture, repetitive action or tension. This can result in certain muscles being in a contracted state for a long period causing much discomfort. Massage is purely manipulative and treats soft tissue, muscle, ligaments, and joints using very deep specific pressure, stretching and isometrics.

Remedial Massage is a therapy used to treat muscular problems, loss of muscle tone and adhesions and remove the physical tension in the muscles. Using up to date massage techniques, it helps to speed up circulation and eliminate toxins, which can cause pain and stiffness.
Massage can reduce the heart rate, lower blood pressure, increase blood circulation and lymph flow, relax the muscles, improve the range of motion, and also increase endorphins (an enhancing medical treatment).
Other benefits can be an improvement of the skins elasticity and helping to break down some of the fatty tissue and adhesions.

Remedial Massage therapy is the most effective in weekly treatments and as a rule clients feel the benefits in three to four treatments, with increased range of motion or reduced pain. A maintenance treatment program is another way to help keep muscles and joints in good health and help prevent past problems from recurring. The greatest benefits from remedial massage can be achieved when a client receives weekly treatment.
